This month, on the last Sunday, we had our regular YWTC Trust meeting with our filmmaking courses' participants at the RRD GO Creative Office with the amazing support of their volunteers.We are immensely grateful to Nithya for her invaluable assistance with sign language interpretation, ensuring an inclusive experience for all. As always, Geetha Ravindran and Kannan skillfully organized the session, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Our member Sathish Kumar helped us in inviting the guests.
This time, we were honored to host two distinguished guests from Dummies Drama, Mr. Sridhar V and Mr. Sridhar Ramaswamy, both ardent supporters of theater. They generously shared their rich experiences with us.
Mr. Sridhar V delved into the history of drama and the inspiring journey of Dummies Drama. His lifelong passion for theater, and his significant contributions to the Tamil theater scene, resonated deeply with us as we aspire to establish our own YWTC Theater group.
Mr. Sridhar Ramaswamy spoke about the joy of being surrounded by like-minded individuals who share his love for theater. For him, the deep connections and meaningful relationships within the troupe fuel his dedication to the stage, serving as a perfect stress buster from his hectic corporate life.
Both guests observed a few performances by our team members and were impressed with the talent and enthusiasm displayed. They graciously promised to guide us in our efforts to develop a theater group, advising us to start with short plays.
We are now on the lookout for an accessible rehearsal space with reasonable rent. If anyone knows of such a place, please let us know!
